How to Become a FPSS Supervisor
In Nevada, all FPSS must work under a certified supervisor. Supervisors may be lived‑experience leaders or clinical supervisors—but either path requires supervisor certification through the Nevada Certification Board (NCB) to ensure quality, fidelity, and accountability.
FPSNN partners closely with the Nevada Certification Board so that our training, technical assistance, and guidance align with Nevada’s certification standards. We’re here to help individuals and organizations succeed at every step of the certification path
FPSS Training Endorsement Course
Effective supervision is essential to the success of a lived‑experience workforce. Family Peer Support Supervisors must be able to guide, coach, and support FPSSs in ways that honor their lived experience, strengthen their professional skills, and ensure fidelity to the practice model. Our NCB‑approved FPSS Supervisor Training equips leaders with the specialized knowledge and developmental approach required to supervise and grow a confident, skilled, and resilient family peer support team.
This Training Endorsement course emphasizes reflective supervision, role clarity, ethical practice, workforce sustainability, and strategies for supporting staff who draw from their personal journeys to serve families. Supervisors learn how to cultivate a supportive environment that promotes professional growth, well‑being, and high‑quality service delivery.
