How to Become a Family Peer Support Specialist

Becoming a Family Peer Support Specialist (FPSS) starts with earning certification through the Nevada Certification Board (NCB). Certification demonstrates that you meet statewide standards for training, ethics, supervision, and lived‑experience qualifications—creating a strong, professional, and trusted workforce across the state.

  • Trained in evidence‑based competencies and best practices
  • Committed to a defined code of ethics and professional conduct
  • Supported through ongoing supervision to serve families effectively
  • Part of a recognized, statewide behavioral health workforce

FPSNN partners closely with the Nevada Certification Board so that our training, technical assistance, and guidance align with Nevada’s certification standards. We’re here to help individuals and organizations succeed at every step of the certification path.
